Public Space Surveillance (CCTV)

Security Industry Authority

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) recognises the importance of structured education and recognised qualifications for security personnel.

Individuals working in public space surveillance play a crucial role in public safety and must demonstrate a high level of skill and professionalism. As this area continues to grow in scope and responsibility, the demand for properly trained operators increases.

This specification outlines the core learning areas jointly agreed by the SIA and industry stakeholders for licence-linked qualifications in Public Space Surveillance (CCTV).
